ENGIE wins tender to install 42,000 public lighting points in Santiago de Chile

ENGIE Latin America was awarded the tender to install 42,000 LED-type public lighting points in the prestigious district of Las Condes, in Santiago de Chile. This initiative aims at the modernization and improvement of the quality of life through a more efficient use of energy and optimization of lighting levels on public roads.

The implementation of this contract will be carried out within 18 months under the management of ENGIE Services Chile and the support of the local B2T team and global ENGIE experts.

With the implementation of this initiative, the Municipality of Las Condes will have a reduction in energy consumption of more than 55% in addition to offering a better quality service to its citizens with a new and more reliable public lighting system.

 

We have received the trust of a district with a lot of local and international prestige. This project will serve to continue our positioning as leaders in solutions to cities as well as to specify other similar initiatives. In terms of public lighting and smart cities solutions there is a very large business potential both in Chile and in the rest of the countries where BU Latam has activities.
