With an investment of near USD 100 million, the photovoltaic solar plant “Los Loros” has been developed by our subsidiary Solairedirect, It has an installed capacity of 54 MW and is located in the town of Tierra Amarilla in Copiapo in Chile.

This solar plant consists of 178,200 solar panels of crystalline silicon of 310 W of average capacity each. 120 GWh will be inject to the Central Interconnected System (SIC), the equivalent to the consumption of 63,000 homes every year.

Chile has one of the highest solar radiation worldwide and is beginning to occupy a leading position in solar development. In Chile, our Group has a total solar installed capacity of 63 MW.

In the recent energy auctions in Latin America, we have won solar projects in Brazil, Mexico and Peru for a total capacity of near 400 MW. By 2019, our Group will be operating more than 12,500 MW of renewable energy, including Solar PV, Wind, Hydro and Biomass generation in the region.
